This painting represents Jesus Christ returning to His flock of sheep, with the one that was lost. I love painting Christ as our shepherd, and wanted to depict this moment of the parable, when He returns to the flock after finding the one who went astray. We are never too far from his reach, and he is always in search of us, no matter how far we have strayed from him.
